Advanced Composites Aesthetic Craft Day
With the current emerge of minimally invasive concepts and aesthetically driven restorative materials, clinicians have more options in handling cases in a more predictable manner, less stress without compromising quality.
This 2 days comprehensive course on composites would discuss on the procedural steps on how to integrate composite dentistry on anterior and posterior teeth with feasibility with the use of modern techniques and materials which allow us to achieve maximum results in the shortest possible time. There will be discussion on the analog workflow and full digital work flow on executing your treatment with composites.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, the participants :
1. Should be able to do a thorough treatment plan with option on which materials to choose from from micro to macro invasive.
2. Learn on the many simple and feasible ways on handling mild to moderate cases with composites to the more complicated procedure.
3. Will learn the advances on adhesive dentistry and incorporated it into their direct restorative treatment with more confidence.
4. Learn the artistic of layering composites with the many modern school of thoughts on this concepts and apply it to their daily direct restorative treatment.
Course Coordinator
Dr. Nurul Huda Hasan graduated Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2004 before joining the oral surgery department HKL for 10 years. She then had a stint of working in Dubai where she sat for MFDS exam in Abu Dhabi. She completed a Comprehensive Certification Licensing in Implantology offered by the University of Berne, Switzerland and the University of Sharjah, UAE in 2013. She later obtained the MSc of Aesthetic Dentistry in the year of 2013. She was also nominated as Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD) in 2014. Dr. Nurul’s interest in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry had brought her to numerous places for trainings and lectures, having been given the responsibility to be the Key Opinion Leader for few principals in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry’s materials and products.
Dr. Nurul is the former President of the Malaysian Association of Aesthetic Dentistry, Vice President of the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and recently had been elected as the Country Coordinator for the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2019. Her areas of interest are on the analogue and digital smile designs, prefabricated composite resin as an option in smile designing, composite resins and adhesive. Currently, Dr Nurul is a PhD student in Universiti Teknologi Mara, academic coordinator in The Dental Academy and maintains her clinical practice with some established private practices around KL.
Course Curriculum
DAY 1
Lecture (9.00 am – 11.00 am)
– Black and white of composites and aesthetic dentistry
– Comprehensive treatment planning and analog workflow
– Advanced op ons on Anterior Restorations
– Anterior restoration with bioclear and injection moulding
Lunch (12.30 pm – 2.00 pm)
Hands on (2.00 pm – 5.00 pm)
– Anterior composite build up and composite mapping with matrix fabrication, layering concepts
– Finishing and Polishing
DAY 2
Lecture
9.00 am – 10.30am – Composites and posterior tooth
11.00 am – 12.30 pm – Deep Margin Elevation
Lunch : 12.30 pm – 2.00 pm
Hands on
2.00 pm – 4.00pm – Posterior composites with cusp guided placement and other methods
4.00 pm – 5.00 pm – Finishing and polishing

Should there be a need for cancelation or withdrawal from this course with a valid reason, kindly inform us by email at info@thedentalacademy.com.my, at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the course date.
The following terms apply:
- More than 30 days prior to commencement: Store credit will be granted
- Less than 30 days prior to commencement: Forfeiture of any amount paid
- The management reserves the right to make changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
- All fees paid are strictly not transferable to other courses.
