Course Summary
This intensive 4 Day course aims to equip participants with adequate knowledge to begin a complex case involving both fixed and removable restorative dentistry. There will be comprehensive theory for occlusion, fixed and removable Prosthodontics, combined with practical hands-on exercises and treatment planning sessions. At the end of the course, participants are expected to be confident to diagnose, case present, coordinate between specialists, and ultimately execute the necessary procedures to complete the case.

COURSE COORDINATOR
DR. ELVIN LEONG
Dr. Elvin Leong, an accredited Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics with the Singapore Dental Council, began his dental education at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He advanced his expertise by specializing in Prosthodontics, earning both a Master of Dental Surgery (Prosthodontics) from NUS and a Membership in Restorative Dentistry (Prosthodontics) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Additionally, Dr. Leong is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Leong serves as an Adjunct Lecturer for both undergraduate and postgraduate students at NUS and previously held the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at the International Medical University in Malaysia. He has also contributed significantly to the professional community, having served as Chairman of the Chapter of Prosthodontists at the College of Dental Surgeons, Singapore. Currently, he is a member of the Dental Specialist Accreditation Committee for Prosthodontics at the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
His professional service includes a tenure as an executive committee member of the Prosthodontic Society (Singapore) from 2008 to 2015, including serving as President from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, he was an executive committee member of the Aesthetic Dentistry Society (Singapore) from 2017 to 2021. Dr. Leong has also contributed to academic research and dissemination as an abstract writer and reviewer for the International Journal of Prosthodontics, presented at numerous international conferences, and published extensively in scientific journals both locally and internationally.
DR. PETER SENG HUI TAY
Dr Peter Seng Hui TAY graduated in 1971 from the University of Singapore in Dentistry. In that year, he was awarded the USSU Gold Medal for the best All-Round Graduand. He then obtained the DGDP RCS (London) in 1993 and the MGDS RCS (Edinburgh) in 1997.
After 2 years as an associate in a top group practice, he founded Drs. Tay & Partners Dental Surgeons in 1973, which was subsequently renamed tp Dental Surgeons. In 2007 he sold his shares in tp Dental Surgeons and co-founded T32 Dental Center in 2008. He was President of FED – International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry in 2007 and is a Life Member of AES – American Equilibration Society and AAFP – American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. He was the Co-Founder and Past President of the AACMD (AAOT) – Asian Academy of Cranio Mandibular Disorders, AAP – Asian Academy of Prosthodontists, AAAD – Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and AAP – Asian Academy of Prosthodontists. Dr Tay also lectures both Locally and Internationally. Currently he is President a Healthcare Advisory / Consultancy Company, (GMG) Global Management Group Pte Ltd which was incorporated in 2005.
RICHARD TYE (MASTER CERAMIST)
Richard Tye started his Dental Laboratory in 1981 in Malaysia. His constant search to improve his skills led him to travel and attend many Ceramic Symposiums.
In 1989, he was invited for a one week training at Mr. Willi Geller (Master Oral Design founder) laboratory in Zurich, where he gained invaluable experience in ceramic layering techniques. In 1990, he was inducted as Oral Design member Malaysia. Oral Design is a group of dental technicians handpicked by Willi Geller and it stands for Professionalism, Passion, Friendship, Respect, Sharing, Inspiration and Understanding. He collaborated with a German dental lab in 1991 for a period of 2 years on export work, where he gained knowledge on attachments.
He sold his lab in 2002 to pursue other interest. In 2024 he decided to start a small boutique lab Oral Design Malaysia catering to Aesthetic and Full mouth rehabilitation work.
