Dr. Elvin Leong, a Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics, received his dental and specialty training in Prosthodontics from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He obtained his Masters of Dental Surgery in Prosthodontics from NUS, as well as the Membership in Restorative Dentistry (Prosthodontics) of the Royal College of Edinburgh (UK). Dr Leong is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. He is also a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the field of Prosthodontics and is an accredited Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics with the Singapore Dental Council.
Prior to private practice, Dr Leong was a Prosthodontist with the Department of Restorative Dentistry (Prosthodontics Unit) of the National Dental Centre in Singapore. He was also a part-time Lecturer and Examiner with the Institute of Technical Education, for both the National Institute of Technical Education Certificate Programmes in Dental Technology and Dental Assisting. He is currently a part-time Clinical Tutor to both undergraduates and postgraduates in NUS.
Dr Leong has been an executive committee member of the Prosthodontic Society (Singapore) since 2006 and he served as President from 2010 to 2012. He is also a committee member of the Aesthetic Dentistry Society (Singapore) He is an abstract writer/reviewer for the International Journal of Prosthodontics and has made presentations at conferences in Australia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia and Singapore and has published in scientific journals both in Singapore and internationally.
Dr Leong has a special interest in the areas of dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, temporomandibular (jaw joint) disorders and complex restorative dentistry.
