Participants will engage in both lectures and hands-on sessions, covering interceptive orthodontics, anchorage techniques, and clear aligner therapy. The course is coordinated by esteemed orthodontists, Dr. John Rosa, Dr. Anas Izwan and Dr. Paolo Jesus, who bring a wealth of knowledge and clinical expertise. COURSE COORDINATOR

Dr John studied orthodontics extensively throughout his career. He holds a Bachelor’s of Dentistry and Brazilian Orthodontic Specialty and a Master’s in Orthodontic Research from Brazil, and he also had just finished his Master’s in Dentofacial Orthodontics from the UK. Before moving to Sydney and certifying his dental degree in Australia in 2016, he served as a professor of Orthodontics at the University of Extremo Sul Catarinense in Brazil. In addition to his work as an associate dentist, he regularly gives orthodontics lectures to general practitioners who are looking to improve their skills.
A certified Invisalign® provider, Dr John is the third generation in a family of dentists, and his wife is also a dentist. Dentistry certainly runs in his blood! His calm demeanour and outstanding skills enable him to provide his patients with excellent orthodontic care.

Dr Anas graduated in Bachelor of Dentistry from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya in 2003. During his service in the Ministry of Health Malaysia 2003-2006, he had the privilege of working closely with Dr Hjh Che Fatimah Awang who was then the Head of Orthodontic of Malaysia. This attachment deeply inspired him to pursue a career in the field of orthodontics.
Although Dr Anas actually completed his American National Board Dental Examination (NBDE), he had a turkish calling instead. Dr Anas completed his full-time postgraduate program in clinical orthodontics at the University of Marmara, Istanbul from 2008-2012 and obtained the Masters of Science in Orthodontics during the tenure of world renowned Prof Nejat Everdi as the Head Of Department. He is associated with the Turkish Orthodontic Society.
Dr Anas is actively involved in giving lectures to general practitioners who holds strong interest in clinical orthodontics. He had participated in poster presentation in Turkish Orthodontic Congress where he shared his clinical cases. He also has given lectures in the Malaysian public university and dental conferences. Dr Anas also regularly holds online webinars discussing clinical cases to inspire others who struggles in orthodontics.
With over 13 years of experience in full time orthodontic practice, Dr Anas manages his patients in his family private dental practice which going into the second generation now (father is a dentist too) and serves as a visiting orthodontist at other private dental clinics in Kuala Lumpur. Dr Anas holds a great passion in airway orthodontics.
Dr Anas is also currently the key opinion leader for Solventum Malaysia (previously known as 3M).r.

DR. PAOLO JESUS PANGILINAN
Dr. Paolo earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the esteemed University of the East in Manila, Philippines. He further advanced his expertise through post-graduate studies in Orthodontics at the Biomechanical Institute of Orthodontics in Mandaluyong, Philippines, and completed his residency in Clear Aligner Therapy under the guidance of Dr. Sandra Tai.
Currently, Dr. Paolo is pursuing a Master of Science in Dentistry with a specialization in Orthodontics at the University of the East-Manila, positioning him at the forefront of the rapidly evolving fields of Digital Dentistry and Digital Orthodontics.
He teaches Digital Orthodontics in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Myanmar, while also conducting informative seminars on digital dentistry throughout the Philippines and in South East Asia. His collaborative efforts with renowned surgeons and orthodontists across Southeast Asia have led to substantial advancements in reconstruction surgeries, leveraging innovative 3D printing technologies, Hybrid Clear Aligner techniques, and a synthesis of digital and traditional orthodontic workflows.
Additionally, Dr. Paolo is engaged in groundbreaking research, having published two papers in the esteemed Journal of Clinical Orthodontics. He actively collaborates with the Department of Science and Technology to provide digital solutions that enhance conventional workflows and facilitate full integration of digital dentistry into clinical practice.
Dr. Paolo currently practices at Pangilinan Dental Clinic and Aruga Dental Center in San Pedro City, Laguna, where he seamlessly integrates in-house digital orthodontic solutions. He also serves as the Chief Clinical Consultant for Sebaris Aligners, spearheading initiatives that combine innovative technologies with traditional orthodontic practices to significantly improve patient outcomes.
Refund Policy
Should there be a need to cancel or withdraw from the course for a valid reason, participants must notify us in writing via email at info@thedentalacademy.com.my at least thirty (30) days prior to the course commencement date.
The following refund terms shall apply:
- More than 30 days prior to course commencement: A refund will be issued in the form of store credit only.
- Less than 30 days prior to course commencement: No refunds will be provided and any amount paid shall be forfeited.
- All fees paid are non-transferable to other courses or participants.
- Any refunds or store credits approved will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of registration, where applicable.
- The management reserves the right to amend or make changes to the course due to unforeseen circumstances.
