The Art of Fixed Prostheses
23rd – 25th October 2026
Program Overview
This three-day intensive is designed to build a complete clinical framework in fixed prosthodontics from the aesthetic and biological principles of preparation, through the art of anterior aesthetics and indirect adhesive restorations, to advanced cementation science, biomechanics, and digital workflows. The programme balances evidence-based didactic content with structured hands-on stations to translate knowledge directly into clinical practice.
Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this programme, participants will be able to:
Foundations & Preparation
• Articulate the biological and biomechanical principles governing preparation design for full-coverage and partial-coverage restorations.
• Identify and avoid the most common preparation failure modes in both posterior and anterior dentitions.
• Execute controlled preparation geometries for posterior partial coverage ceramic prostheses and anterior veneers with appropriate reduction depth and margin design and also morphology-driven preparation techniques.
Course Coordinators

Dr. drg. Leonard C. Nelwan, Sp.Pros. FISID, FITI, FICD is a Prosthodontist and Implantologist at Indo Dental Center, he has participated in numerous workshops in Australia, Canada, the USA, Singapore, and Switzerland.

Dr. Nurul Huda Hasan earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2004 and began her career in the Oral Surgery Department at HKL, where she served for a decade. She later broadened her experience internationally in Dubai, completing the MFDS examination in Abu Dhabi. In 2013, she pursued a Comprehensive Certification in Implantology with the University of Berne, Switzerland, and the University of Sharjah, UAE, and in the same year completed her MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry. Her contributions to the field were recognised with her nomination as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists in 2014.
She recently completed her PhD in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, during which she developed a new tooth proportion formula tailored to the Malaysian population across different ethnic groups.
Dr. Nurul currently serves as President of the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and is the former President of the Malaysian Association of Aesthetic Dentistry. Her professional interests span analogue and digital smile design, the use of prefabricated composite resin in aesthetic rehabilitation, composite materials, and adhesive dentistry. She also leads academic development as Chief of Academics at The Dental Academy Malaysia while continuing her clinical practice in several established private clinics across Kuala Lumpur.
Course Curriculum
• Apply smile design principles including proportion, symmetry, and gingival architecture to treatment planning for the anterior dentition.
• Select appropriate indirect adhesive restorations (veneers, table tops, overlays) based on clinical indication, tooth structure available, and patient aesthetic goals.
• Prepare anterior teeth for indirect adhesive prostheses with minimal invasiveness while ensuring adequate bonding surface and mechanical retention.
• Design and execute provisional restorations that communicate aesthetic intent to both patient and laboratory.
• Construct diagnostic and functional provisional restorations that serve as a reliable blueprint for definitive work.
• Apply a clinically logical occlusal scheme to single-unit, multi-unit, and full-arch restorations.
• Perform accurate bite registration and occlusal verification on mounted models.
• Navigate the current ceramic material landscape , zirconia generations, lithium disilicate, and hybrid materials , and select appropriately for each clinical scenario.
• Execute evidence-based cementation protocols for both adhesive and conventional luting procedures.
• Integrate intraoral scanning, CAD/CAM fabrication, and AI-assisted design into fixed prosthodontic workflows.
• Troubleshoot try-in and seating complications with a systematic clinical approach.
